that is a Jamaican seller (in the US), it's sort of dangerous to buy from him because there are so many Jamaican bootlegs that were done for their scene that aren't well known on the northern scene. I think he usually notes when it's not original though.

I think the term super rare is misleading, although I suppose if I go get a carver done, that is super rare since it's the only one in existence.

Hang on, 'All records are from a recently purchased collection...' I wonder... :g:

Actually one of the ways you can tell a (US-based) seller is Jamaican is that they often write "rear" instead of "rare".

Specifically with this seller, I used to buy a lot of stuff (he does have some interesting records), then like 7-8 years ago I bought a record that was unplayable due to some pressing problem that caused loud hiss. I was buying it as an upgrade. He responded saying "all my copies are like that". I got really mad at him for misrepresenting the item and got into it with him and he refunded my money. I assume I'm blocked but I haven't tried to bid since.

great description, doesn't mention it's a bootleg, reissue, 2nd issue whatever - it just says that it's REMASTERED

Nearly had a go at this one myself last week until i saw the re-mastered bit and there were others described the same last week,

though I can't recall which.

It's appaling how folks fake their descriptions as much as the records they sell.

Bought two recently described as VG that were so battered they are virtualy unplayable.

It's great though that this forum exists to expose these dudes.

Thanks for sharing.

I asked him a similar question :

Hi Im a bit confused - you say this is super rare but remastered!

If it has been remastered then surely its not super rare!

Hope to hear from you

Regards Steve

Heres his response!

"although its remastered if you check ebay often

you'lll see that it does not appears very often

not to dwell in symantics but thats my explamation"

Colour of the lettering is all wrong to kick off with...

:hatsoff2: CHEERS for the info, great record, I just did not think it had been pressed, I did not no there was demand for it, it must have been very close to the DJ who played it first, :g: DAVE
