There was some white label pressings of this made in the 90's credited to the Andantes but it's the same as the Velvelettes. Also done by the Supremes but not as good. Recorded in 1964.

I seem to recall it was a 7" Jobete acetate with no artist credit but it was always obvious it was the Velvelettes

It is available on CD

That's right. We had selected that one for later inclusion in "From The Vaults". It was clearly Cal Gill on lead. It later came up for auction with some other Jobete Music and Motown acetates at the end of the 1980s or begnning of the '90s.

Thought this was unissued by The Andantes, motown backing vocalists.. Gary Spencer used to play it about 22 years back..

now I have to move it on my shelves from A to V. No big deal because the record label is blank, but this could have been a record collecting nightmare!

What a tune - and the CD is less than a fiver so I can play it in the car - thanks.

Still want the 45 though - anyone?

Have this on cassette (how old is that?) that someone did for Jonah (Rob Gray and myself had copies as well) so it would probably have been 91/2 or slightly earlier.
