Smudger Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 This was passed onto me from a European soul fan via my big bro, so just passing it on a French tele prog from the sixties. https://youtu.be/amo2PQKHmq4 check Brook Benton out. 2
binsy Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Been watching it last night. wonderful stuff, love the 'So i can love you' horns part with Isaac Hayes.
Kris Holmes Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 facemelting stuff, cool to see Isaac Hayes leading the Memphis Horns.
Kris Holmes Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) This Hollywood one is pretty cool too with Paul Humphrey on drums, maybe looks like Bobby Bryant on Trumpet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2aiPSZ-AM8&feature=related Edited January 23, 2012 by Kris Holmes
Kris Holmes Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 watching the memphis one really makes me wish Cotillion hadn't smoothed out that Brook Benton track with strings & a chorus. It would be awesome if a rougher Fame take like in the video still existed somewhere. from that to this doesn't quite hit the same.
Jimmy Mack Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 yeah and what drivel were we getting in the uk at the time
