Hi Boba,

thanks for the quick reply. Feel a bit stupid now as have located a copy. I think its disco origins place it outside the rare-soul umbrella. Same as West End releases (Al McCall, Julius Brown) although played Modern Soul in the 80s is now out of vogue IMO.

Blimey Ric. There's a bit of difference between Doris Troy on Stang and Doris Troy on Midsong. I can imagine this thread giving some serious Stang/Turbo specialists heart failure..........

I wouldn't be surprised actually, there are so many unknown numbers which I think probably do exist and that label is so ghetto.

Yep, for sure. I have a listing from when Sanctuary controlled the catalogue and that threw up a few surprises. I've always loved Stang/Turbo releases. All New Jersey ghetto recordings and I think many of these releases have yet to find their audience. Universal took it over when they bought Sanctuary so I'm not optimistic about seeing any future deep catalogue releases. I'm still playing that All Platinum Girls release that Sanctuary did in the late 90's which is FANTASTIC!

Your so right Ian, I've just bought this double cd on my bi-annual trawl round all Londons Tape + Video exchanges. Have you managed to work out who track 23 on disc 2 is? Its credited as 'Unknown Artist' 'Every little thing will be fine' .............anyone.

Sounds like it could be George Wilson Blake. The flip to "Come back to me".
