Dave Thorley
indeed its the best side No your right the ballad is a stunner, top draw 'Deep Soul', like many of his 45's. Right, these have flow out today, down to the last few, so don't miss out. Cheers Dave Link to comment Social source share

Steve G
Dave do you know which came first Smoke City or Midtown? I can't remember. Had the Smoke City one a little while will have to dig it out. Link to comment Social source share
Garethx
Midtown is the first label for "You Can't Let Your Left Hand Know" but the b-sides are different tracks. The other side of the Midtown 45 is an updated version of "Everything Look Good" which came out on Tuska, Momentum and maybe even another label too. Dave Thorley
it certainly is a tangled web with his releases. It is as said second release for 'You can't let' but first for the other. Bill owned this label outright, where as he part owned Midtown with Tommy Stewart, but then he got disillusioned with it all and walked away from the label, leaving it with Tommy and a few others. He was a prolific writer/producer as well as artist through the 60's/70's. But by the early 80's he'd had enough and cut himself off from the whole business, working as a painter and decorator instead. When I met him a while back, he'd not sat down and talked about music for many years. A really lovely man, but he still wants to keep himself to himself now days.
