Salvosoul Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 hi can you help me to find complete uk king label discography i have find more number but missing any thank very much salvosoul
Pete S Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I don't think King Records themselves know half of what they released. I'm still finding stuff now that I didn't know got releases. Last two I bought were "Heather" and "Sonny Hines" and I'd never seen either one before. If you could let us know what numbers you're looking for, I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Wiggyflat Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) This is your best bet....UK King what a schizophrenic label..there were loads of Rumblers Soulful jerk knocking around at one point that were unplayed and you had force the record out of the sleeve.I have had the Heather record for a long time as i used to buy anything that looked odd or promising on the label.I think she was irish from memory.Never heard the Sonny Hines.....what's it like? https://www.45cat.com/label/king Edited January 13, 2012 by wiggyflat

Pete S Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Oh one to avoid is The Rocomars - All In Black Woman, this is in quite a few soul discographies incuding the Manship UK guide but it's actually a Cliff & The Shadows copy, no soul content and hardly any beat content either

Pete S Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 lol......i got stung with that ..it's in the pile with the Transatlantics lol so did I, back in around 1990, was in this shop and pulled a Detroit Spinners 'i'll always love you' red and white demo out, £20, Rocamars, £6, and this weird record by The Johnstone McPhilbry or something like that, on Philips or Fontana, paid £1 for that, it was terrible, think I gave it away. Now books at £125 or something like that
