Maark Posted November 24, 2005 Share Posted November 24, 2005 I was round me Mum's and she had it on and as a huge Slade fan was watching the show and yes, O'grady did say that he used to go to Wigan Casino and dance all night with a change of clothes halfway through. Slade were big Motown and soul fans too and Noddy Holder's fave tune is a soul record and I've been flipping through his Autobiog to find out what it is cos I've forgotten....... It delayed the All-nighter opening by at least an hour probably more! They would not let us in !, Slade had two articulated trucks full of sound gear they had to move before the nighter could start, there was nearly a riot outside then a black Rolls Royce came round the front of the casino with the band in it, Dave Hill ,Noddy were clearly visable and followed by about 100 screaming teenage girls.
