Can't believe AL WILSON went for £234.00 pounds J Manships auction ' i have sold two copies not so ago for £100 pounds each in mint - condition ' its not that rare imo ' but classic northern. :g:

This conversation happens after every one of the auctions mate, Al Wilson like you say is £100 - £125 any day of the week, if people are happy enough to pay double then not much can be said really.

I think the Wand guy is related, possibly lthe cousin of, Jackie Wilson

The 'Snake' guy is a different person and I believe the brother of Ted Wilson (Sierra)

There's a wand (demo?) on Joe Dunlops list posted yesterday for £200

I'm sure that when Al Wilson played live at Cleethorpes, he had to be tought the Help Me song because he'd never actually heard of it!

Thats true Pete, he came on and sang it at breakneck speed in about a minute or so, made some comment about it wasn't him that recorded it, and payed a blinding set of his own material. One of the best Cleggy soul acts.
