Glad you enjoyed it Phil , it was a lovely surprise to see you at York.

Jay was telling me he was outside when he heard it and he had to come up to find out what it was. A fantastic sound that is so cheap and sounds like it costs a packet. Like I said to Jay you can't go wrong with anything that the Esquires have done, thats if you like group harmonies. I love their "You got the power" too.

I can't wait for my return visit to York , I loved playing there. I just hope next time I get to play more records , there was many more needing play that don't normally see the decks other than my own ones at home. Its the same for Nige.

I really like the concept/vision at York , I do hope it is sucessful for all those involved in promoting those sounds and collectors that don't normally have a chance to play for whatever reasons. I myself wouldn't like to play too often to the mass public, believe me they are very demanding :) I prefer to select what best suits me and to do something like this now and then that gives me great personal pleasure.

Its nice to see a variety of players too :glare: we can sometimes assume that only certain people can offer you something different and exciting, because they are established names and have expensive collections . I know of many that would shine at this event just using their own style of selection.

This invitation for me was a gift from the gods :)

How very true Carms, I, like you love the chill-out concept and am looking forward to playing in May, I already have about 150 'must plays' to start wittling down.

We arrived quite late as we needed to sober up from NYE at The Red Bar in Wakefield ( another very open minded venue) and enjoyed ourselves very much, found out Grolsh was on at £2 a pint and ended up worse for wear..... again :shhh:

Record of the night for me was Cal Green-Give you just a little more time-Filmtown, superb

Just put all the dates in my new diary so see you all in February (12th) for the awsome Mr Brett Franklin.
