Chalky Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 One look at the bidding and it's plain they've had too much sherry over Christmas.
Julianb Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 And there I was thinking that the one I bought in November for £9.99 was a bargain! Julian
Guest allnightandy Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 one had a feedback score of 1320 and the other 107 someone really wanted it !
Sheldonsoul Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I got 3 unplayed magic carpet ride from the diskery in brum late 70s for 30p each, and left 5/6 of this one behind lol
Guest Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Got one for my mate the other day of ebay for £ 6.00 thats a crazy price.
pikeys dog Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 £6.00 is still too much for that load of tripe.
Ceejay Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 £6.00 is still too much for that load of tripe.
Pete S Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 £15 is over the top for that one, then again, after seeing someone's UK lists on here today with a Chants at £200 - I sold a mint one for £75 last week, I had 2 copies - I give up trying to second guess UK label prices. All I know is, I don't pay anywhere near book prices for any of them and I've always got a good British collection
AlanB Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I watched the end of this auction in amazement. There were around 8 copies on Music Stack at the time (now 5) for less than a quarter of what it sold for in the auction. Many of the UK label items that I've seen go for surprisingly high prices over the last year or so, seem to have mod appeal (UK covers of soul tracks, R&B and freakbeat-type stuff) rather than traditional northern. I suspect more people are collecting that kind of stuff and some are a bit naive about how (not) rare the records are. Alan
