Guest Brian Ellis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 The first 15 minutes was great seems to be going downhill a bit now , what next Charlene ? Not far away by the way things are going
Guest JIM BARRY Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Not far away by the way things are going back to captain jack sparrow lol
Shinehead Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Not far away by the way things are going Think they are saving this classic till the last
Premium Stuff Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) At least they are live but some of the vocal performances are a bit poor Oh no it's Boyz II Men So out of tune! Richard Edited December 31, 2011 by Premium Stuff
Guest Brian Ellis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Surely there must be far better stuff in the Beeb's vaults than some of this latter crud
Philly Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Well what did we expect .. It is the BBC after all... back to Poirot for my art deco fix
Guest Brian Ellis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 The early part of the show was very good, mostly 60s. Oh Jeez, I'm sounding like an oldies fan .................. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Premium Stuff Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 ITV4 at 10pm - Mad Max 2 - gets 4 stars out of five in the Radio Times Cheers Richard
Premium Stuff Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Yes, just watched that Edwin Starr - War - absolutely f*ckin brilliant performance
Guest Brian Ellis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Oh no - now it's Martha with the classic Jools Holland performance
Premium Stuff Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 What about Martha then ? A bit cabaret for my liking Edwin was 1000% better
Kevinkent Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) Oh no - now it's Martha with the classic Jools Holland performance Shame on the BBC for including this clip. Not the way Motown should be remembered - nor martha Reeves for that matter. Agree the first 20 minutes or so seemed very promising - the finale fell a bit flat (in more ways than one). - Kev. Guest Brian Ellis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Charlene Think they are saving this classic till the last They surpassed it with Martha Reeves
