Dave Moore Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) This morning's offering is a bit cheeky, as I don't own one. In fact I've no idea on what format it's available. Never seen it in vinyl format. Anyone help? Great version of the Len Barry/Jackie Trent song. Regards, Dave Edited January 21, 2012 by Dave Moore
Dave Harrison Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Played this last night and was surprised not so many people had heard this version. Sadly only availabe on a 12" so probably never had the exposure it deserves. https://youtu.be/a67ddPZvCS0 Great version! Dave

Dave Moore Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 This morning's offering: Great record that I can't remember ever being massive, in fact probably only heard it out a dozen times ever. Maybe an enterprising DJ should get this dusted off and put Moses Smith away for a while? Regards, Dave https://youtu.be/obkNFG2i03U 2
hullsoul Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Great to see this finally stepping out of the shadows of "Good Times,Bad Times" (which is a brilliant record I might say)& getting the odd play, potentially could go I think or will suffer from the "too cheap" syndrome? Dave Moore Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 This morning's offering; Probably better known I would think by The Shades of Blue from their Happiness LP. Another testimony to the talents of Barney 'Duke' Browner. I think this must have been the first track he and Harry Balk cut when they moved to Motown after absorbing Impact into the Hitsville family of labels. not an out and out dancer like the SOB version but a great record nevertheless. One of Bev's top 10 so it must be a good! Regards, Dave https://youtu.be/nVun5AHHZNI 1
