 HI ALL & HAPPY NEW YEAR, WITH THE SUCCES OF THE PREVIOUS THREAD, SOULSOURCE HAS REQUESTED WE START AGAIN!

I would like to thank all those who like me, love to guide Bros & Sisters towards sounds they may not no!, be it Rare or just tucked away on the B sife, of an old stomper, THANKS,

To start this of I am still playing the B side to Lannie Hills (Wigan) CLASSIC "Time marches on" a great mid tempo sound,"ain't I worth a DIME"

If someone could put a sound file on for me, and you will soon discover it's time to get a spin or two.https://indangerousrhythm.blogspot.com/2006...h-dime-new.html you should find it here? with kuck.

AS ALWAYS :hatsoff2: DAVE KILWORTH (DtheDrug)

Kev

What we need is volume 3 of Dave's thread :wicked:

Isn't there some way members can add to a reference page what they've just posted up thereby keeping track of what's been posted & it not becoming any individuals responsibility??? MODS any ideas????

Happy New Year matey & to all SS members.

Cheers

Good idea MARTYN, if everybody is prepared to do it, am up to trawl back and compile my own list then post it in here for reference, what thoughts others? It's also why it's important people do try and limit themselves to one record a day because when we start posting tow or three at a time, it starts building up the thread ahead of it's 'time zone' and increases the task of checking back for everybody... :hatsoff2:

:hatsoff2: HI ALL This is one of my favourate sounds of the post WIGAN plays! it's from 1964, and a very good example of the new soul sound that would be so dominant in the following few years, Again I tried to put a sound clip on for you, but my short term memory loss (to many chemicals) means sorry, my resalution this year is to achieve this goal! however don't bank on it, as I keep forgeting passwords??? anyway it;s on you tube!

If anyone has a copy to trade please let me no? as this is my copy, OOOPS!! DONALD JENKINS - "SOMEBODY HELP ME" - CORTLAND 112

record of the year for me and a few others is this cracker from danny lee, stop calling me baby. he wrote many of our northern gems too, including slipping around and you dont want me. i had shifty play it at cleethorpes a few years ago, and played at all the aussie nationals, great tune.

Another ballad from me this morning. One I bought blind over 30 years ago. The names on the label were enough to know that the 1.50 you were risking was safe as houses! Much underated vocalist Mr Leavill.

Otis Leavill, Billy Butler, Carl Davis, Gerald Sims, Sonny Sanders..... quite a list of Chicago talent there Dave, and £1.50!!! cost me a wee bit more than that, ten times that I think? Quite a hard one from the man too, and a great double sider as well
