A few more wanted, I appreciate some of these are on various online sites currently but after US copies (preferably) from UK people, not always available combination. And of course I am tight so not wanting to pay US postage, who says you can't have it all. However I will obviously consider UK copies or dealing with our US brethern if no success locally.

And of course I prefer dealing with you lovely chaps on here.

Okay details are,

Mel & Tim - Good Guys Only Win In The Movies (Bamboo)

Sam & Dave - Sam & Dave (Roulette) think its also on Major Minor so may take that, assuming it was also a 60's release. (Presumptious strike out)

Ollie & Nightingales - Ollie & Nightingales (Stax)

Sam & Dave - Double Dynamite (Stax)

Johnnie Taylor - Wanted One Soul Singer (Stax)

Johnnie Taylor - The Philosophy Continues (Stax)

Johnnie Taylor - Rare Stamps (Stax)

Carla Thomas - The Queen Alone (Stax)

Carla Thomas - Comfort Me (Stax)

Original copies only, no repress

Cheers and a season's wishes and all that to anyone daft enough to buy into current commercial climate......

Hiya

Am I right in thinking I have Sam & Dave for sale on UK King from around 1962/3 or did I dream it?

Don't answer that, I'll check it tomorrow when sober :)

Major Minor is a re-sleeved reissue of the UK King LP that came out in 1968.

The King issue came out in 1966, although all of the tracks on it were from earlier.

It also came out in Argentina with the same cover as the UK King Issue.

Have you found the Resolve yet? I think Joe has answered it, let me know.

Cheers Joe, I am really poor on British 45's knowledge, but really really poor on British LP's. other than what I have bought in junk shops over the years tended to buy US LP's as well as 45's, not really sure why in the LP world though.

Argentinian sounds interesting if anyone has one spare???

Got a Johnnie Taylor Soul Singer, surely some of the others are much easier than that? No-one getting fed up of those big LP's taking up too much space, cmon you know you want to.

Hiya Jock

Resolve not kicked in yet but the info from Joe makes sense? Earlier stuff they did, released to cash in on their Stax fame at the time I guess?

I'll dig it out the garage next year  and give you first refusal on it should it fit the bill for you (it's not going to be dear!)

Cheers

I have a spare of the Argentinian - I picked two copies up a couple of years back.

I'm just about to visit relatives for the New Year so will find it out for you when i get back (Monday) if you still require it.

Yes would be interested. PM me with cost etc, no hurry so just when you get a minute.

Cheers

Yes its a collection of their 45's prior to Stax, not sure how US Roulette ended on UK King, but I am clueless about British so no real surprise there!

If I don't get sorted with Joe's one, I'll let you know.

Cheers

Hi Jock, I've got Mel & Tim - Good Guys Only Win In The Movies (Bamboo) but I've just been and replayed it and there's some good tracks on it so I'm keeping it. Found a couple of acetate albums too next to it which was nice.

Allo old man, its been too long! I have finally decided to swap the 45's for LP's so the acetate things sound good too, just pack them up!

Only kiddin bud it's not in the greatest nick but it's yours, see ya soon and Happy New Year

You are a gentleman, hopefully see you at Thorne?
