Tony A Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) A few of mine, Cheap, cheerful, must haves. First time I've used this scanner, doesn't do the colours justice. Edited December 26, 2011 by Tony A
45cellar Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 The Colour on my scanner for some reason doesn't show how Yellow these actually are, they appear Gold when I scan them. Only seems to happen with the Ric-Tic or Golden World Labels.
Tony A Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 The Colour on my scanner for some reason doesn't show how Yellow these actually are, they appear Gold. It's the red labels on my scanner, the yellow is almost 100%, the blues 98%, but the reds really poor, in your hands the three are the same shade, but not when scanned. maybe I'll change the colour scheme on future red scans with a photo thingy package.
Windlesoul Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 (edited) I've got the San Remo Golden Strings LP on Ric-Tic, makes a nice change from the UK TM one... Edited December 28, 2011 by mark w.

Dazdakin Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Always thought the yellow vinyl ric-tic of edwins "agent double o soul" was a boot leg. 3rd lot of scans from the top.
Tony A Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Always thought the yellow vinyl ric-tic of edwins "agent double o soul" was a boot leg. 3rd lot of scans from the top. Dunno ? you tell me. this is all I have to go on, got no other info.
45cellar Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 I think you're right the Yellow & Red Label on Vinyl is suspect & possibly a Boot / Repro press. However the one below is also Vinyl & I am led to believe is OK - Can't find much out about it to be Honest.
Tony A Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 So it's yell/red original is it Roger ? Thought mine was a second issue and not a boot as Daz stated, any info would be of help. Cheers, Tony.
45cellar Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 PopSike.com AGENT OO-SOUL (Agent Double-O-Soul) I believe that this Yellow Label is from the first batch as it has both Titles Exactly as the White DEMO has. Then Yellow & Red Labels below, all produced at the time of release as far as I'm aware.. Not sure where this one below comes in.
Dave Fleming Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Great thread,i`ve got the full set on Issues (where issued) all bar RT-116,which i think is one of the hardest Ric Tic`s to find, also took me a while to find Issues of,Laura Lee RT-111 and Fan Four RT-119,which i ended up swaping for Promos of both, here`s a few scans inc the RT-103 one sided Promo.. Autumnstoned Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Strange lyrics on this one - opens with the lines:- Mother nature was good to you baby She gave you everything you need Think this was also used as the backing track for Fabulous Apollos - Determination - Valtone which was on Chalky's Stafford 3 Podcast which I think I may prefer.

Autumnstoned Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Yeah - just had a listen to it on You Tube - it's not bad. Presumably as Andre Williams is credited as having co written it, his version came out first?

John Reed Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Anyone ever seen RT 116 on a red issue? There's one on popsike https://www.popsike.com/7-Inch-vinyl-RicTic-San-Remo-Golden-Strings-Ric-Tic/190383364048.html
Citizen P Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 This is all I have left of my Ric Tic 45's : Spook Well, nowt wrong with only having one the best on the label, is there?? Quite partial to Willie G- Meet me Halfway, meself. And, am I alone in thinking that To Win Your Heart, aint a patch on Festival Time??--- It just sounds so contrived to me.
Millo Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 There's one on popsike https://www.popsike.com/7-Inch-vinyl-RicTic-San-Remo-Golden-Strings-Ric-Tic/190383364048.html Thanks John.
Wilxy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Didn't realise RT 116 was scarce as that on issue, having said that, the popsike scan is the first time I'd seen a copy! (mine's a WD) I must add that I love this legendary label, and it is one of the few Detroit labels I've managed to complete quite reasonably cost wise, albeit a mixed bag of issues and white demo's. Regards wilxy
