Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 (edited) Found this comment on the net...anyone ever heard this one before groove reduction: records pressed after 1980 were manufactured under a new process where the grooves are meant to wear faster as part of an attempt to encourage consumer audio tape purchases. to remedy this, one can use a no greater than 220 grade abrasive paper to even the peaks and valleys.... Utter rubbish fortunately! Should have sent it on 1st of April. Its not even logical. Where did this come from? Could play havoc with your reissues Brett
