Mace Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Been asked by some-one who knows the guy who did this to post the link below to create a discussion point. Not my thing to be honest, but can see that it may have appeal to others on the Northern scene....so, good, bad or indifferent? I'll vote indifferent cus although not my sort thing musically, I can appreciate it's been done pretty well.

Haydn Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Terrible, why exactly? There are a few mash up dj's that can cut the sound better musically but imo it lacks productivity, why not improvise on a backing track and bring in elements from then on. Vulturised Plagiarism I think is the feeling here! H
Guest MrC Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 That's awful! As Haydn says, no production, and it doesn't even work that well! I don't mind the odd mash up/remix/re edit of old tracks, but I wouldn't give that one the time of day! Sorry!
Haydn Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I like the Citronic Hawaii decks tho, they were standard Casino attire back in the day
Winnie :-) Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Not to my taste, I could have the onset of 'I'moutragedaphobia' All a bit too Jive Bunny .................
Guest Marky Tee Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Not to my taste, I could have the onset of 'I'moutragedaphobia' All a bit too Jive Bunny ................. Should have done it in the "Style of the pub singer"
Guest MrC Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 'I'moutragedaphobia' Only have to get it into common useage to get in the dictionary.... keep it up Win! (I've already slipped it in to a couple of emails at work in the hope it catches on )
Pete Eccles Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Dreadful, to the point I'm questioning whether it may be a wind up
Geeselad Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) i love rockers revenge, and used to acca it up bigtime when ever i played an olskool house set. never been a big fan of double cooking but I know it works in a big venue and most of been real powerful @ the casino. I actually dont mind this too much, and technica lbly it works for me but 'cookin's' already got a couple of vocals versions so have to admit it seems a little pointless. Now a club classic acca over 'thumb a ride', hmmmmh............ Edited December 15, 2011 by geeselad
nickp Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 My perfect moment for Rockers Revenge was playing it to 8000 ravers in the Slam tent @ T in the Park, it was pouring with rain outside so my first set of the day had a captive crowd. As for the above, whilst, as geeselad says, technically it works pretty well, the clash of two genres of music, and overuse of the Rockers vocal sets alarm bell ringing in my head. I'm sure that Dj Sherz mixes will work for a certain crowd however, all the best to him for the future. Nick.
Bigsoulman Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I like the Citronic Hawaii decks tho, they were standard Casino attire back in the day Davie Clark still uses them for the Full Circle gigs Haydyn, murder..honestly
