MrsWoodsrules Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Radio 4 Monday afternoon at 4.00pm. The story of Memphis Minnie. Okay folks, as an avid listener of Radio 4 for which I do not apologise & that includes the shipping forecast. I feel duty bound to let you know about this programme, fronted by Mark Lamarr, who, in some of his past broadcasts I've heard, has been nothing short of condescendingabout Northern Soul, still this isn't about Northern. Along with our main protagonist Minnie, this looks like it could be a good in-site into the roots of where our beloved scene evolved from, and so there fore of great interest to us, it's the story of Memphis Minnie, and covers the first great flood of New Orleans in the late 20's which led to a mass migration to Detroit, don't know about you, but I'm certainly interested. Aid.
Autumnstoned Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) I think the shipping forecast has gone downhill recently but on the other hand farming today is getting better. Is Eddie Grundy still robbing Christmas Trees? Edited December 12, 2011 by autumnstoned
