Guest ScooterNik Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I've been given this today, does anyone know anything about it? 7" picture disc, EP. The tracks are listed as: Competition Ain't Nothing - JJ Barnes (!) voc/inst, Bok To Bach - Fathers Angels and Double Cooking - Checkerboard Squares. On Inferno Soul Club. I've not played it as I know how easy picture discs can be to damage, but I'm wondering if anyone know anything about any other similar discs that may be out there? I'd guess it's worth maybe £2 in mint condition.....
Pete S Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Wasn't that an Inferno release? You might be optimistic about that £2 value
Guest ScooterNik Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 LOL, it's still £2 more than I paid for it Yes, Inferno. Didn't they also put out a picture disc of OOTF too? Rings a vague bell now I think about it...
Guest Ste Brazil Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I remember this being behind the counter at HMV at that time, always thought it looked great! Got my first scooter that year not that it has anything to do with this record though... I'll give you £2.00 for it for nostalgic reasons - you better throw in free post though!!! I've got a picture disc from back then, i think it has wigan patches or something on it..? Ste.
Guest ScooterNik Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I've got the N.S.R.S. t-shirt from the same year packed away somewhere, think the 1986 one too! Don't think I'd fit in em now though Oooh.... I love scooter memorabilia! If you're ever tempeted to chuck your stuff away, give me a shout, I'll find a home for it! Oh, and the £2 price may be low, I've now got people on FB looking for copies. I expect it to top out at about £3 and a packet of crisps (postage included) now...
Guest rasfoz Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Yeah they also done outon the floor & wasnt the furys im satisfied also on the ep it had pics of soul patches on it if i recall
Guest Ste Brazil Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 That could be the one i have but before anybody starts, i'm not letting it go for less than £4.50. I have TONS of stuff stretching from 1982 to the present so if anybody wants to buy a carrier bag full of patches and a rancid denim jacket covered in patches then i'm your man, i want more than £4.50 for those though! I also have every scootering magazine since issue one and all the other magazines that have been produced since, i also have Jet Sets etc that pre date Scootering and all kinds of other crap...maybe a museum is in order

Guest Ste Brazil Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 The Lambrettas picture disc was very popular at my youth club!!
Guest VepT5 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I've got that picture disc kicking around, I bought it at a rally the same year, but there's no Newark rally marked on the disc, and that was my first one Cheers all, Heath
