Mike Shawe Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Pretty sure this was their first single, other side is a sampled funky/jazz thing which is cool too. https://www.discogs.com/Kool-The-Gang-Let-The-Music-Take-Your-Mind-Chocolate-Buttermilk/release/706467

Mike Shawe Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 ... but who's selling one to put this man out of his misery??
Guest Big Jim Slade Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 ... but who's selling one to put this man out of his misery?? I sent a PM because I had an extra (decent, not mint) copy on November 28th and he's yet to read my offer. No biggie to me, I've not replied to other people's offers before but it does add some light to the question above. Maybe he hasn't been here in a while and he's got a few PMs in his mailbox?
Mike Shawe Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 His account is showing he was 'Last Active Nov 27 2011 03:02 PM', that would include your pm then Jim.
Guest Big Jim Slade Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) PM sent. I'm gonna post a sale list tomorrow and will leave this record on hold for you. Great record, Chocolate Buttermilk is the better side for me but Let the Music Take Your Mind is also a jam. It's got the epic horn line also used in the Soul Vibrations' the Dump and the killer version of Super Disco as taken from the last track of the Statler Records Get Up and Dance LP.
