Computer Sleep Disabled Ebay Sniper

Just a precautionary tale for any other 3.am snipers, don't forget to disable the computers sleep, for future reference, I overlooked this on my Mac & it has probably cost my one vg+ copy of The Foxes Mighty Good Sign on Fencoe, that went for an unbelievable $36, I am proper gutted.

If you use a sniper and place your bid in advance, your computer doesn't have to even be connected to the electricity let alone the internet!

I use jBidwatcher third party software for the mac, works fine when computer not asleep, don't want to place any bids til 2 seconds before the auction ends.

You don't have to if you use an online one, you place your bid a week before the auction ends, set it for 5 seconds whatever, then forget about it. I can now see why yours didn't work, though 2 seconds is too short a margin anyway to win every time.

Ah, right Pete, so if I actually sign into to the software sever & upload my bids, it will be done by proxy??

Now I get it, I just left my computer on and left the auction running, clearly this is hit & miss.

There's where I went wrong, save som leecky too!

Get it now, the software i use will be fine for that, just wasn't using Jbidwatcher severs to do my bidding for me, was just leaving my computer on, which like you say, no need.

Yeah you can do it days in advance and just forget about it, then you often get a pleasant surprise a few days later!

I use Auctionsniper.com, has sniped well 99% of the time, a couple of times for unknown reasons, even though snipe was set correctly, it failed to 'snipe', had simply disappeared...

Never heard it out Aid, i first heard it a few year back, doin a bit of tape swapping,..tell you what tho,that looks an half decent copy, for that money
