BUT WHY????

I've always wondered why some people glue c/u labels directly on the records, rather than just cello-tape round the edge to the dead wax.

I'm serious, I really would like to know just what the motive or reason is.

Agree. And were I considering making an offer for this record, no way in the world would I wish to offer anywhere near £300 when the damage to the label has not been quantified.

Would never stick a label over another with tape or anything else. Then again, don't partake in cover ups. Good record either way.

Well, it wasn't my cover up, I was told the name on strict instructions to keep it quiet. I stuck the label on this way because it's easy to remove and not forgetting...it's my record and I had no intention of selling it, i'm only selling it because I really need the money and it's fetching a good price.

I've already taken off the label on one side and it looks absolutely fine, I can do the other side and post up scans for anyone who wants to see them.

Jodie, I remember trying to get a look at the label when you played this one night at Mervs' night in Stafford (must be a few years ago now?).

Soundwise worth every penny...great great record. Fetched 550 Dollars or even more last time it went through ebay as far as I remember..

That's exactly what i'm doing now, sticking it on eBay!
