This month we feature some killer dancefloor funk offerings out of California by the LA Shouting Stars, a midtempo obscurity by the Southern Trumpets that surely needs more exposure plus one of the funkiest takes of 'Wade in the water' by Mary Alice McCall.

Featured in the 2nd section this month are a selection of killer cuts from seminal labels D-Vine Spirituals and Champ....including the sublime tune from Dorothy Glass and the stunning slow rolling funk of The Gospel Four.

And to close this month, we go to classic clubland with Rance Allen Group's 'Peace of mind' and to a cut making the floor shake in soul clubs at the moment by the Gospel Comforters!
