That Plumbob intro is quite a builder too, should scare off Vince Montana and even Dimiti from Paris mixes. Paris - I choose you (45) Um the 45 sounded better than the 12" available from Terry @ Record Corner in Balham and the Bluebird shop all those years ago. Never even knew it had a 45 pressing. . Steve Plumb Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Oh yes Nick, it came out on US Kelli Arts before the UK Bluebird 12" release Glad you liked it Sir Cheers Steve
John Reed Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) Also came out on a Bluebird 7" as well, as release BRT 9. It also got reissued as a 7" & 12" a couple years later Edited November 22, 2011 by John Reed
Guest Nick Harrison Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) Never managed to collect the Paris 45 on Bluebird, only the 12" John, hence my above post, so thanks. Seem to recall the Kelli Arts/Bluebird Records deal back in 1984ish, also which included Bluebird output on both 7" and 12" format Walter Jackson - Touching In The Dark and Gene Chandler - I'll Make The Living? Which of course earlier collector of USA new and recent released 7" would have bought and had well tucked away in their collections, having been well played at venue's previously. Steve - the Lee Williams on Carnival - Its Everything About You I Love, seem to recall other versions of this song or another seventies group or female version, established and played before in those great soul rooms. Any clues as I have kept revisting the shelves, but with little joy. P.S Great to hear of the new and revamped Blues and Soul relaunch, so glad it's back up and amoung us. Any details of the new printed copy output dates etc.............weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Great to hear my old copy writing workmate Frank Elson is contributing again. Is there a new web page for further details, if that help's with on line ordering as the newsagents in the Yorkshire Dales are rather victorian about new publication's and it's little consolation, if you are not a local farmer either. Think that's it for now................so thanks again. Cheers Nikolas. Edited November 23, 2011 by Nick Harrison
