MrsWoodsrules Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 This sounds a bit macabre or weird, but it's really not. My mate who lives in Florida told me about this website, a gang of him & his mates go on horse racing trips, Breeders Cup, Kentucky Derby etc, etc, they go every year for a lads weekend away, anyway, before they travel, they go to this site, get the location of a famous persons grave & go pay there respects while that town. The site gives enormous amount of information in the form of a memorial & location too, sometimes much more detailed than wiki for example, great source of information. I've just been looking at the graves of Major Lance, Richard Popcorn Wylie, Eddie Kendrick, Ivory Joe Hunter, Marvin Gaye, (although his ashes scattered in the Pacific), Ray Pollard, Jimmy Reed, absolutely tons of others, You can search via location too, i.e. Detroit etc or wherever. few I can't find i.e. Berry Gordy, Eddie Singleton, but loads & loads, people can also pay resects & leave a note or virtual flowers etc. Not just for Soul singers but obviously that of interest too me, the irony for me being from Warrington, our biggest musical talent was George Formby, oohhh Mother.......!! But does anyone else use this website? Anyway, go check it out & pay yr respects. Cheers ears. Aid.
