Guest jkw Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Just came across this on the pod - can anybody tell me the label and price? cheers
Guest Adrian Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 The label is Glades / TK, I have it on the lp so not sure if it was a 45 or not. Lp price £20ish i would think.
John Reed Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I think Standing By Your Girl/Its' Over was their only 7" release on Glades. There are a couple of missing numbers 1753 & 1759, but as Latimore's - Long Distance Love - 1752 is a 1979 release, I'd think it would be unlikely a Blue Notes release as it would be 2 years after the release of the single and LP.
phillyDaveG Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Yes, LP only. "The truth has come to light" (1977 Glades). Excellent LP (both sides of the Glades 45 are on it). 7" about £10, LP about £15.
boba Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 my copy of this LP has a long note / dedication to the blue notes written by muhammad ali. I didn't look at it before, thought it was just writing on the record, then when I pulled it out last year I actually noticed what it was. Pretty cool. p.s. please don't tell me that all the copies LPs have this...
