issue or demo Pete?

Had a few issues over the last 18 months and sold them at £30 - £35 each.

Issue - ditto what you just said, 5 or 6 of them - then see it at 75, then hear it's gone for over 100 - just this once, I thought f*ck it, I'll actually put my price up, so I did...

True Pete , its supply and demand at the end of the day , if someone is willing to pay the price then so be it.

I say it myself, all the time, when I see these daft priced records, especially in auctions. The problem is, once one sells for that, most other people put their prices up to what the auction went for. I do try and reverse that trend when I can! Like that Mel vena Allen I had yesterday was easy £50 cheaper than the auction priced one.

You can't say it's a £25 record though, Don Gardner was once a £25 record - you know what I mean?

Pete....."it's not the same" ....im talking in terms of the last 5 yr ,not that old .." when i was a lad at wigan casino " yester year bollox :D

But in truth ...if it's indemand and people are desperate ...be very obliging

A £15 demo on Ebay buy it now about 3 years ago for me, didn't think it would do much dancefloor wise but is very popular now.

wanna sell it ?

Lee Fisher had one for sale on his latest list this week for £50 I think (benray@sky.com).

Actually listed it at 30 quid, the phone's been hotter than fire since then but sadly I can't keep abreast of every up and down value on the scene so out it goes tomorrow to the very first caller, when all's said and done I had to stick by my original listing price even if a ton sounds more attractive!!!

Could have sold 5 copies of the Little Joe Roman I had as well, no one quibbling with the 700 on that, no economic gloom when vinyl is involved, Regards, Lee

Ridiculous , thought this used to be a £30 quidder

Used to be - being the operative word

As it gains even more popularity, so the price shall rise further eh and quite rightly too - epic tune

as said sold mine on Here not that long ago White demo in EX condition to Wiganer for 30 quid. Anyone who is selling it for more than 50 quid is an opportunist and they then shouldnt lecture anyone about rarity or value when they think a record is not worth an amount others are asking! Thats My opinion!

F*ck me, I'm an opportunist.....AT LAST!!!!!

surely you're gonna allow me this one after constantly undercutting everyone else for years Steve

i think most people who have sold this record recently, are opportunist, including people who sold it for 30 quid. The oppurtunity arose to sell it and they did. No need to be bitter you can get 3 times more for it now.

Maybe it is a bit bitter! but it also makes the whole pricing system ridiculous- makes a mockery of any guides - Just ignore everything - past prices / rarity aspect just make as much money as you can.

Pete your allowed one after all the losses you've took. Im just peeved that when someone wants a record from me I sell at what might be reasonable based on the above points . One guy on here bought the Ethics w/d off me here adamant that it wasnt worth more than 20-25 quid and in truth thats really about it - Then the Phooker has another copy up for sale so I offer him a bit more than what Id sold him mine for some months earlier(AS I fancied it back) - hes says it was a different copy he was selling and its a hundred quid.

Lets forget this whole scene in terms of Rarity & value cos it doesnt matter one Jot - Its free for all time. Next someone might play say the B-side of the Snake and it becomes popular- so much so that copies then start going for 100 quid - Its bollox!

Just thought! Ive actually got the possibility of half a dozen copies of LA Its not the same coming from the US. So if someone on here asks me for one do I say yes here you are Nev - 30 quid mate or Ill swap you for something hopefully knowing he will return the favour or do I just say sorry mate Im putting them on Ebay cos the price is inflated? I know which one I would do! but maybe Im just a decent chap!
