Sjclement
With reference to another thread I was suprised to see Larry Mizzells name attributed to that Moments record. Started me to thinking who are the top writers of NS and are there any unusual ones (I think we'll leave Motown out of it) one that's always caught my eye is Johnny Northern who penned Help Me, with a name like that he couldn't fail Link to comment Social source share
Shinehead
Mark Barkan is a very strange one wrote pop for groups including the Archies plus wrote the Banana Splits theme tune and was musical director for the show , but also turned his hand to soul music the one that springs to mind is Kurt Harris Emperor of My Baby's Heart plus his name is on a few other Northern tracks. He also wrote Stepping Out Of The Picture Johhny Maestro, and the oft recorded Help Yourself plus the awful Lost Summer Love Lorraine Silver. Dave Moore
Van McCoy, was Rosemarie his sister? Van McCoy streets ahead of any other writer in terms of quantity with quality, although Mike Terry in terms of contribution may well be a close second. Rose McCoy - no relation.
