Muscle Shoals Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Think this came out on CLASS first - anyone have any info on this? Can't find any reference to it being reissued/booted and I found it with a load of late 50s/early 60 blues & R&B warehouse stuff so I never gave it a second thought... Thanks Phil https://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=190595111639 ps feel free to bid
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 (edited) ...It was booted almost perpetually in Jamaica, by Coxsone Dodd, from the late 60s to the 90s. I would imagine that all the various boots added together would amout to several thousand copies. It may even still be in press or, at least, circulating as a Ja. boot. Over there they go for the other side, 'People Are Doing It Every Day'. Edited November 9, 2011 by TONY ROUNCE
Muscle Shoals Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 Thanks mate - that did cross my mind but it looks and plays much better than the usual Ja. stuff. Still the most likely though I suppose...cheers.

Think those Crash 45s were probably pressed in the USA, actually - I can't think of specific titles right now but there were a couple of other 'Caribbean R&B Classics' that came out on Crash and they look like US pressings, too. It was also booted on a Ja. blank label - or at least the 'Mama Julie' side was - in the early to mid 60s, just t add to the confusion...
