Quinvy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Cliff Camfield had a minter, bought off an American dealer at Prestatyn a few years ago. Cliff sold it / traded it to Flanny, don't know where it is now though.
boba Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I wonder what the value would be for the much rarer detroit distributed yellow label copy
Raremusicdirect Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Hi Boba, I only knew that record existed last couple of years as a Yellow demo copy, distributed by Wheelsville. Pray For Me, the b side is on You Tube. Never seen one for sale but it defo exists as we can see............. https://youtu.be/ENeM3coP2Ng Rarer than the issue, it seems, so gotta be priced above.........

boba Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 i think its sided blank I don't understand, are you saying the other side is blank? because the side posted is marked as side B
Guest giant Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I don't understand, are you saying the other side is blank? because the side posted is marked as side B seen one on ebay 'the seller said it does not have BABY I WANT YOU on the other side.
Sjclement Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Both sides written by former Lunar Module engineer and jazz trumpeter Larry Mizzell
boba Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Both sides written by former Lunar Module engineer and jazz trumpeter Larry Mizzell it's the first production that the mizell brothers were involved with i think
Marc Forrest Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 seen one on ebay 'the seller said it does not have BABY I WANT YOU on the other side. none of the yellow copies do have the "Baby I Want You" side. musically only of interest to Group and Motown collectors hence a lower (way lower) value/sales price.
Raremusicdirect Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Thanks Marc, not that I have seen (in my hand) any yellow copies, but that's good to know.........
Dobber Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 ive seen a yellow one before and marcs right, theres no "baby i want you"
Guest vinylguy Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Hi folks, nice to be a part of this forum. Very interesting stuff--and people. I am the one selling the one sided Pray for Me on ebay--and it has a white label. Guess we can add that to the mix.
boba Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 thanks everyone for the info on the yellow copy, never knew that. it is weird that they put "side b" on both sides.
Guest vinylguy Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Actually, if it's like the copy I have, the flip side has a blank white label.
