Salvosoul Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 hi everybody i'm a fans of cleveland robinson i have still one record on nosnibor " work song"and i search to buy a copy of " boy " for a good price but i have look on the site of capitolsoulclub that there are 4 version The song called simply, "Boy" was released four times in all on Nosnibor, with every release having a different musical approach:#1003 - performed as a ballad with male group backing vocals, plus organ and sax work throughout. #1006 - is the solid 60's typical Bert DeCoteux production, c/up as "Bud Harper - Lonely boy".#1011 - same backing track as #1006, but with added bongos and harmonica parts.#1012 - An altogether funkier approach, courtesy of Gene Page on production. -the 1006 number on nosnibor gone this week for 300 $ on ebay in mint condition this version its the version that you can listen on soulclub with girl group backing vocals please confirm me this because i'm no sure -the 1011 its same of 1006 with harmonica i have still listen this but i prefer the 1006 this version probably its issued 1969 or 1970 i have listen another "slow "version of " boy "on clevelandrobinson.com can you let me know on what release are issue this version 1003 or 1012 ?????if possible can you send on attachment a clip of this 4 different version of "boy"thank for yor help and sorry for my english salvosoul italy
pow wow mik Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I'm looking for a copy of 'Work Song' if anyone has one. Will pay decent price, thanks, mik.parry@talk21.com
Guest cC B Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 (edited) I wouldn't mind hearing the 'bongo/harmonica' and the 'funky' one myself. Always liked this song too. Much better than his other biggie "Love is a trap" imo. Best, Christian B Edited November 15, 2005 by cC B

And thats coming from someone who is major skeptical about high prices!!!! Good Luck, Andy K dear andy i say now that the 1006 number blue label its rare and good version but probably the 1003 number its better than the 1006 .Are you still listen the 1003 number ??? salvosoul
