Andreas Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Hi, just sold the Uk issue here last month and now I decided to sell the jamiacan Studio 1. the 45 comes on the original thick vinyl, red /white (microphone design) Studio One with JacKie Mittoo "Song Bird" as flip. The record is in great shape. Vinyl shows some surface marks, but nothing serious and plays with a very low amount of back ground noises as you can hear in the sound clip. Very slight writing on both labels.. scans available on request. Price is £150 ....as this jamacan issue is harder to find than the UK Bamboo 45 (IMO) especially in good shape like this. here you go to here the sound clip, lifted straight from the actual record... https://www.divshare.com/download/16107195-221 please pm me if interested. thanks for looking ps: flip side vinyl looks similar to the top side, but a grading for this only on request, as I´m currently not in the mood to give it a spin.. sorry.
TOAD Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 so whats the black and silver issue then ? A repress 2nd issue ?
Andreas Posted November 4, 2011 Author Posted November 4, 2011 I think they are all original mr. toad ..same label design and also available as blue/ white issue as so often with the jamaican issues
Cunnie Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Also seen a white label Studio One copy with black print with a Lord Tanamo b side. Think some are with strings to make it a bit more palletable for the UK market & some without strings. Great track either way
dthedrug Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 HI ALL, SORRY! but sometimes I find myself SHOUTING "4 F SAKE" no offence intended, but just to remind all REGGEA & SKA Collectors, JAMAICA is a 3rd world country, they will use any material to make labels, boxes LP sleeves, there is no romantic notion, on disposable dance music, if it was available? it was available, seems like some good money to be made here? by the way, forinfo only, I got my copy when it was released, a Martin B record, please cough! as I got to get off? the BAMBOO has the Strings & Tings, just for me? also I listed this tune when I joined SS, and SOUL SAM is an old freind of mine, GOOD LUCK.WITH THE SALE! WHERE IT IS? I DON'T NO! PON DE PLATTER, THAT'S WHERE IT IS. SIR D.I MEAN!

dthedrug Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 OH! NO, NOT THE HAND IN FRONT OF THE EYES AGAIN? EXPRESS YOURSELF? ANDREAS, DON'T LEAVE A GESTURE THAT IS OPEN TO ANY INTERPRETATION, I WROTE ABOUT THIS VERY SYMBOL ONLY LAST WEEK, THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO USE IT,I FIND DISAPIONTING, I WROTE WHAT CARL JUNG WOULD INTERPRETATE BY IT'S USE WITH NO WORDS?, TO REITERATE MY POINT, 1, THE SUGGESTION THAT IT'S A MARTIN B, X OVER TUNE, IS AN INSULT TO EVERY SOUND MAN & DJ WHO HAS PLAYED AND LOVED THE RECORD FOR THE PAST 41 YEARS, IF YOU FOLLOW, ALSO I PERSONALY COULD QUITE EASY PLAY A EVENINGS JA SOUL THAT MARTIN WOULD NOT KNOW? IF YOU CAN CREDIT ANY ONE FOR MAKING IT POPULAR, IT WOULD BE ASHER "G" THE ROCK-STEADY DADDY, THE MAN FROM HACKNEY. OR JIM SILLES "THE BUSH=DOCTOR" THE MAIN MAN FOR DISCOVERING 95% OF JIM COX'S PLAY LIST? IT'S A GREAT RECORD, AND AGAIN I URGE PEOPLE TO BUY IT, AS THOSE WHO OWN IT WILL NOT BE SELLING IT, AS IT IS WORTH MORE AS A TRADE THESE DAYS DAVE THE BLADE
Benji Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Dave, FFS, this is sales section. If you want to discuss the record, open a new thread. *facepalm*
