Blake H Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I was at a soul night a couple of weeks ago and whilst looking at the record boxes (like you do) I found my old copy of Inner Space "Break the chains" with a torn label caused by me ripping a price sticker off (thats a good thread, Removing price stickers) Has anyone else found a record they have sold (and maybe regret) years latter ? Best BH
Gary Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Yep, sold my copy of Joe Simon's Love Vibration LP in the 80's and recently picked it up in a second hand shop in Lincoln. Also, bought an O'Jays 45 of e-bay and the name written on the label was the same surname as a lady i work with so showed it to her and it was her husbands old copy he had sold in the 80's. Spooky (ish).
Guest hatman Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 sold a copy of Bobby Paris "Night owl" Cameo with a "Thanks-Ed Chips" sticker on it,( I had torn the label trying to remove the sticker) at Wigan way back in the mid 70s. I knew I sold it to a Scotish lad. Several (20 odd) years later Colin Law had a box at the 100 club low and behold the said "Night Owl " was in there "Thats mine "!!!! i said "F**K off came Colins answer ! So I explained i bought it from john manship when he was dealing from his mums back bedroom and i must have sold it to him at Wigan years ago, turns out he bought it off Keb when he sold his oldies up in the Stafford days. Anyway bought it back cheaper (not counting infation) than i sold it !!! I'll get my hat !!

Best BH  Passed up a UK copy of the Contours - Just a Little Misunderstanding at a record fair once. Only to be given the exact copy as a birthday present seveal years later by a mate who had done some trades with the original dealer.
