Pete S Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 This is a pretty poor job lot of 95% reissues and at the price it's currently at, the records are around £8 each which is ridiculous - and 44 bids? I put a lot ten times better than this out a few weeks back and didn't get half that amount, not that I'm bothered but I'd love to know why this is getting so much interest (I have no idea who the seller is) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-soul-records-job-lot-45-s-/110765926138?_trksid=p4340.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26its%3DC%252BS%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3912556808684519671#ht_2103wt_1398
Guest smudgesmith Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I saw that Pete. All the bidders are private........being bumped me thinks!!!!
Guest julesp1905 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hard to tell if it's being bumped, there are 10 unique bidders involved in this auction, perhaps a few taking a gamble with this months pay packet in the hope that some of the rarer items turn out to be originals, the fact the seller says they are made up of originals/reissues means he knows what he has got, as pete points out the lot is hardly going to be worth £8 a record each as a job lot
boba Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I think with lots like this it's sort of random whether they go high or low, given that a specific type of person bids on it., Specifically, a person who isn't that serious a collector but gets excited to see a bunch of good 45s at once. That type of person usually isn't a serious ebayer either. It's not like when you auction a specific record that more serious collectors are after and that has a known price. Auctions like this are more volatile and depend on who's looking and has money at the time.

Guest giant Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 just seen the auction pile of crap' some nutters will buy anything .
Guest eddiep Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Good luck to the seller and good luck to the buyer I say ! They'll both get what they want I reckon.
phillyDaveG Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Hmm. looks dodgy to me too. Despite a feedback of 131, he has sold only 1 item in over 5 years. He mentions that old Manship bloke from the chippy again too
Guest Ste Brazil Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 That's my project for this weekend sorted, gonna put together a big list from my 'impossible to sell' box and unleash it on eBay!
