I recently picked the great Ernie Johnson 'You Got To Be Faithful and True' on this label and also know of a Willie Clayton track, is there anything else worth picking up, and does anybody have a full label listing?

cheers

John

ah, i wasn't aware of the difference, but upon 15 seconds of reflections, yes that would be correct, and make sense

yes, Bobby Williams is on this label with Funky superfly, also released on MTVH

CL West - Bumping traveling man, killer tune

Kings of Harmony - Moment by moment, gospel

Delores Ealy & the Kenyattas - Come into my bedroom/Big surprise, 2 great rockin rnb sides

I believe the LA label is the same as discussed here as Liggins and Williams appear on both labels. Also its not just LA, its also Tennessee on the pinkish label, Arkansas, NC and FL at least on the other label with the stars and the 2 varying colors.

Jesse Allen - After a while - Duplex 9003 Tennessee

Ervin Rucker - Done done the slop - Duplex 9004 Cali, Jimmy Liggins credited

Ervin Rucker - Baby you were meant for me - Duplex 9009 Cali, Jimmy Liggins credited

Bobby Williams - It's a dilly - Duplex 100 Cali, Jimmy Liggins credited

Jimmy Liggins - Last round - Duplex 1002 Cali

Multicolored label:

Willie Clayton - Thats what my daddy did - Duplex 1202 Arkansas, Jimmy Liggins credited

Ernie Johnson - You got to be faithful and true - Duplex 1203 Arkansas, Jimmy Liggins credited

Deloris Ealy - Come into my bedroom - Duplex 1301 Florida, Jimmy Liggins credited

Bobby Williams - Funky superfly - Duplex 1302 Florida, Jimmy Liggins credited

Communicators & Black Experiences band - One chance/Is it funky enough - Duplex 1304 N Carolina, Jimmy Liggins credited

Just seems to be moving around alot as times went. As you can see the # match up pretty nicely, and the cross references on artists and contributors just seems to fit too well to be a coincidence. The Tennessee and California labels are definately the same, and the later label thats all over the place should be connected as well IMO. Also found a reference to a
