On my one and only visit to Scenesville a few years back I got an anniversary tape. On it was a track that if I remember correctly was covered up as Wild One by The Star Treks. I don't have the tape to hand to check this, also it used to be on the website (but having just looked isn't on there anymore).

What I'd like to know is, could anyone tell me the real name of the song & artist please?

Extra double secret unfortunately, not that you'd be likely to find a copy (I think Nick may have found a second after about 15 years). Gregory McOirish has a different take on acetate, different group and backing track. I think his version has a motorbike on it as well. Artist isn't named on that one.

Nick had one for sale when he brought his sales box round to my flat 3 weeks ago - probably worth asking him to see if he still has it Ian.

Which would be why I'd ask to just look at it and not buy it!

Ian just get any old record, stick a bit of white paper over the label, write Wild One on it in Biro

Hey presto there's the information you'd see if you looked at Nicks copy.................... :D

Think he may have played it at Octobers Solid Hit Soul

Nearly bought it myself a few weeks ago but opted for something else in stead, love it though

Yes, but it's not quite the same when it plays "I'm In The Mood For Dancing" by the Nolan Sisters (no I'm not saying"I tried it and it didn't work...."!!)

If you buy one of these cover up things... I assume you're allowed to know the real artist and title? Are the labels left intact? That's a dumb set of questions isn't it karen_bridges03.gif

:wicked: Truth is half the people who cover stuff up tell their mates what it is anyway. Normally when plied with sufficient alcohol. Thats why the longest running cover ups are owned by people who don't drink and probably have no friends. whistling.gif
