weetwood white Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Hi. I'm looking to sell a w/d Anita Bryant 'My Mind's Playing Tricks On Me Again. I've seen it listed on podcasts, but not for sale. Anyone any idea how much it's going for? Cheers Dave
Pete S Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Worth £40 but you'll probably only get £30. Bit more on CBS UK. Glen Henning discovered this in 1991/2, he found it on CBS demo, I actually gave him The Craig - I Must Be Mad on Fontana for it, The Craig record is now worth £300...

Prophonics 2029 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Saw her on a film the other night, that Sean Penn film where he plays the gay mayor. Not sure if I have seen an issue.
Pete S Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) Saw her on a film the other night, that Sean Penn film where he plays the gay mayor. Not sure if I have seen an issue. I've had it on US issue but never on UK issue. Forgetting who the vocalist is, the production on this is unbelievable, arranged by Arnold Goland who was also responsible for Ray Pollard's 'The Drfiter', massive wall of sound. Prophonics 2029 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Arnold Goland who was also responsible for Ray Pollard's 'The Drfiter', massive wall of sound. Had not checked that out Pete and now you say that how similar they sound.
Guest Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I first heard it via Steve Smith during the late 80's...he had a US WD covered up...can't remember what as, maybe he can!?! Not too long after I picked up two UK CBS stock copies in that legendary shop just off the Old Kent Road. Great production.

Not too long after I picked up two UK CBS stock copies in that legendary shop just off the Old Kent Road. Great production. Think it could have been covered as Timi Yuro???? Could be way off the mark though. I still have a tape of Steve's in garage with this on so will check when I get chance.
Steve Edgar Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I've had it on US issue but never on UK issue. Forgetting who the vocalist is, the production on this is unbelievable, arranged by Arnold Goland who was also responsible for Ray Pollard's 'The Drfiter', massive wall of sound. Agree Pete, a great production indeed, steve
