Hello fellow soulies.

The Corn market hall kicked off at 7.30 on Saturday the 21st of April with Steve Towers playing a subtle mix of old and new.

After a quiet start the place began to fill up a bit, but there were a lot of faces missing. We clashed with an annual commemorative do in Market Harborough which was a bit of a shame. And it looks like we’ve done it again in June and clashed with Rugby, (sorry to Karl and other organisers). Though numbers were down (even Bob Barr didn’t turn up) we still had a brilliant night, trying out a young local DJ, Sean, who when he’s not DJ’ing is a nurse at Kettering General. He played some really underplayed stuff and his spot was (in my humble opinion) inspired!

If you liked Sean you can catch him playing a sixties spot in the Prince of Wales most Thursdays. Trev played his usual mix of modern, R&B and underplayed oldies along with a few youth club toons. His spot included a duet from Frank Wilson and Chris Clarke which I bet most of you have not heard before!

June 2nd is the next date for your diary. We have managed to book our legendary friend Soul Sam! Ever popular Sam will be spinning a mix of old and new and we may be selling tickets to prevent the night being oversubscribed.

We will keep you posted on this.

Soul in the Park tickets and details will be available in June at £8 each (what a bargain). In the meantime, please pass this newsletter on to anyone you think may be interested.

Tara for now,

Trev, Steve and Lynn
