Guest vinylvixen Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 This is weird. You're about the 6th person who's mentioned this track in a couple of weeks 'Dododabah' was played by Randy Cozens at West Hampstead and I bought his copy........what a memory jerker this is....right up there with Jnr Walker's 'Tune Up' and Cobra Kings 'Big Limas' and not forgetting Lenny O'Henry's 'Across the Street'.......I bought them all off Randy and sometimes give them an airing when I need a West Hampstead 'fix'... You can take the girl out of West Hampstead, but you can't take West Hampstead out of the girl..........doodoodahbahhhhhhhhhhh......... Jo not sure if its rare or what, anyone got one on clock or sale

Always reminds me of the great nights in Covent Garden, West Hampstead etc. Hadnt heard it for years till I bought the Kent cd - 6Ts In The Beginning. Just bought last week Hank ballard - hoochie coochie coo, the Jewels - Opportunity and Googie Rene - Chica Boo, all proper tunes from those nights. Happy Days!! Alan

Codfromderby Posted November 13, 2005 Author Posted November 13, 2005 Don't know if I've heard this record but seeing as you were going on about it I just got one off ebay. Probably be for sale next week i apologise to all who have replied with copies, almost right after i posted the want, i did a swap with someone local and got a copy, next day a couple turn up on e-bay and thinking another copy wont do harm, i put it on "watched items", go out for dinner and forget to put an actual bid (for someone with a feedback of nearly 700 that was a bit silly even by my standards)

Platters 81 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Rarer than a UK Bluebeat stock bag ? Jo that would make a good thread ......rare stock bags.....another one i can think of is the pic sleeve of Major Burkes "Break these chains" on Gulf.....with the red perspex "chains"....ive never seen one but according to the artist they exist.....and he's after one himself!
