New Century Soul Allnighter at Maxims Wigan kicks off on 03 May 2008

New Century Soul Club annouce news of a new Northern Allnighter starting up at Maxims Wigan on May 3rd 2008 Midnight to 8am New Century Soul are pleased to announce that we will be launching a new All-nighter on Saturday May 3rd at Maxims in Wigan, the venue some of you may know as it already has a soulful history, as it hosted artists such as Major Lance and held All-nighters before and after the Casino shut its doors.

After talking to local promoters and not wanting to effect their promotions we will be opening at midnight and run till 8am a bit like the old days. The venue is a wonderful 80's style night club with two rooms, the main room has a very large wooded dance floor, lots of seating, two large bars and has a state of the art sound system.

The second smaller room which holds around 100 people has a wooded dance floor and is fully kitted out with PA. There is a very larger all night car park behind the venue and it is a short distance form Wigan train station.

Room 2 "SHAKE N FINGERPOP with Andy Newens And Friends.

The DJ's for the main room on the first night have been put together to cater for an across the board music policy, room two from midnight to 3am will be more on the rare side with collectors such as Karl Heard and Stuart Cheetham joined by Harpo and Sandi to add a little of the modern cross over flavour. At 3am the room will be handed over to the guys from 'Shake and Fingerpop' for their after party.

'Shake and Fingerpop' is one of the promotions run by Andy Newens a young Wigan lad who has been introducing soul to the retro minded youth in Wigan for a couple of years now and he has built up a very healthy night at The 'Cotton Club' by playing classic pop, funk and soul they finish down there at 3am when they will join us to carry on their party. We hope this is a way of introducing a younger crowd to the niter scene and who knows they just might like it.
