Dont know whether this topic has been done before . But i was wondering what you consider to be the most difficult tune that you have managed to get a copy of into your collection. For instance mine would have to be Linda Griner. Goodbye Cruel World on a yellow Tamla issue ( Canadian )

Mine would be the White Demo of Gail Anderson - Be Proud (Salvador).

Tons of issues, but the WD seems to be very scarce.

probably

johnny rogers--make a change---

or

soulettes----keep your fine self----

keith williams

I'm probably gonna regret saying this, coz I will look silly but.....

I thought Keep your fine self was - American Youth Choir....And The Soulettes did - Bring your fine self home....

This topic has been done before and the reason it ended early was that someone pointed out that with values of rare tunes today its not wise to advertise the fact in case you get a visit from a certain type of collector. You know the ones who want the record but dont want to pay for it.

I suppose if some lucky sod had copies of the 20 most valuable tunes at todays prices they could be worth £100k or more, so not a bad nights work if you can remove them and sell em on.

WD's of Gail Anderson are quite rare,had mine a few years now and you don't see them although Dave Raistrick had one a few months ago . Talking of rare records, anyone else got or have seen recently;

Jesse Thomas... Bases are Loaded on Tail-Gate.

Now thats a proper rare record!!

I've got this Dave ...... had it years.

You're right about it not being that well known. Which has always surprised me seings as all his other stuff is so well known on the scene.

Top tune though ....... known or unknown :D

Could be many answers to this -

Johhny Barnes - Beggining Today on AMC no one knows it or the Strollers track I posted up for info on no one supplied any

But I guess your after know stuff rather than possible one offs and I suppose it would be my demo of the Del Larks but that was easy to get into my collection I bought it blind before it was known  I did leave about 13 issues behind though  How I miss Sinfonia and those boxes of imports for 9p each.

for me Icemen - Its time you knew ole 9 blue vinyl without question ( have had to turn down several birds due to lack of free spare time after purchasing this to be honest  ))

Little Carl Carlton Competition aint nothing on Action. Probably not very rare but it looks and plays like its brand new, one of the few pieces i kept from the past and I paid 80p for it

I am very familiar with that problem Soulof!

* Good you understand my problems Bj¶rn

I think my rarest record is The Spoilers - Hey Little Girl on Tobin

Haven't heard that one played out ever. Does anyone know anything about it?

* What I know is that you bought it from Conny. Hope this helps  Spoilers is brilliant btw ! . I´ve asked on soul talk forum bu no response. Guess quiet unknown. Sounds like it with right exposure and with that great messy arrangement could have gone big on the northernscene in the 80´s or so ??
