Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Afternoon, all - We've got a very nice Paul Kelly CD coming up in January on Kent, containing all of Paul's Lloyd, Dial, Philips and Happy Tiger singles A's and B's from 'The Upset' through to 'Slow Flow'. Unfortunately the tape for one of the tracks has gone AWOL, so we urgently need to dub it from disc. The track in question is "Cryin' For My Baby" (Philips 40457). It's on the flip of 'Sweet Sweet Lovin'" which we do have a tape for. As everyone here at Ace who has a copy has it on UK Philips, and as the UK Philips 45 is itself a disc dub (and thus not usable), we're hoping that some kind Sourcer will have a mint US Philips that they could loan us for dubbing. If you can help, give me a shout via PM or via my ace e-mail address (tony.rounce@acerecords.com) It doesn't matter if your 'Sweet Sweet Lovin' side looks like it's gone 10 rounds with a Black & Decker sanding disc, as long as the flip is mint or ascloseasthistomint. Condition is very important as those US Philips styrenes can be a bugger to work with if they're not. Reward will come in the form of CDs or Kent 45s - plus, of course, a thank you in the booklet for this CD and a a complementary copy of it when it's released in January. Cheers, TONE
