20 Cracking Sales: Blenders, Fiats, Davis, Hill, Hall, Jackson Etc

Few 45s up for grabs. All very strictly graded; no dramas of course if you're unhappy. Anything over £30 will need to be sent signed for unless you're prepared to take the risk -standard UK postage, overseas I'll check. If you think I'm miles out on price let me know.

1. Blenders - tale of sadness (DJO) Ex+ £300

Absolutely superb uptempo Chicago group dancer. Hard record!

2. Jesse Davis - gonna hang on in there girl (Era demo) vg+/+ £500

Lots of light marks which dnap and some wol. Very brief hiss right at the begiining then away you go. Half price or not far off and a chance to own one of the great dancers for less than daft money IMHO

3. The Tears - good luck my love / what are you doing to me (Smash w/d) Ex+ £100

Magnificent double-sider of course and immaculate apart from some very, very slight discolouring to label around centre hole.

4. The Fiats - speak words of love (Universal w/d) Ex/+ £100

Superb and pretty hard Detroit group 45 from 1964; never seem to see this anymore

5. Eddie Hill - nothing sweeter (M-S) vg++ £125

Just brilliant! The odd light mark dnap. Nice clean labels.

6. Gladys Knight & Pips - stop and get a hold of myself (Maxx) Ex+ £45

Underplayed, massive production booming dancer, as close to mint as you'll get

7. Carl Hall - you're so qualified (Mercury red issue) £80

Really rate this uptempo dancer. Great vocals and yet to have its day IMHO

8. Mel Vena Allen - the bigger your heart (Salvador) Ex+ £75

Mean, moody builder from the early 80s period. Fetched something mad not that long ago at auction but not an easy record to pick up these days

9. Les Watson - soul man blues (Pompeii) Ex+ £45

Tipped recently and about time! Superb mid-tempo with a x-over feel

10. The Creations - just remember me (Globe) Ex+ £45

Absolute steal for this superb group dancer. Old Searling c/u and great condition

11. Maurice Jackson - lucky fellow (Candle-Lite) Ex £70

Absolutely fantastic haunting mid-tempo Chicago x-over styleee dancer. Magic!!!

12. JJ Daniels - mr lonesome (Sure-Shot promo) Ex+ £40

Really good uptempo dancer! Chalky spin from time to time as I recall, always goes down well.

13. Ila Van - your love / got to get to Jim Johnson (Roulette w/d) Ex+ £25

Well worth a punt is this

14. Monclairs - wait for me (Sunburst 106) Ex+ £25

Sublime group mid tempo. Love this to bits, spare copy.

15. The Pacesetters - I'm gonna make it (Minit promo) Ex £45

Pounding west coast dancer; proper!

16. Bettye Swann - the heartache is gone (Money) Ex+ £30

Soooo underrated IMHO. Another worthy effort like all her Money stuff

17. Tymes - what would I do (MGM yellow demo) Ex- £40

A couple of marks dictate [tight] grade, nothing major. Banging oldie of course

18. Betty Everett - too hot to hold (Vee Jay) Ex+ £35

Total stormer and needs playing out more IMHO

19. Fred Hughes - I keep trying (Exodus) Ex £40

As above: storming dancer which needs more action. Don't know many bad uns by Fred

20. Carolyn Crawford - my smile is just a frown / I'll come running (Motown) vg+ £40

Last time I'm listing this bugger! Plays great, have djd with it, and an absolute steal for two great sides

Working for yourself is usually pretty good on the whole; it is a real pain in the ar*e when folk don't pay you when they should though! Hence these sales; ideally I'd be keeping these 45s so please don't make daft offers.
