boba Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Anyone know what's the story with the 4-song true effect silver label EP? Is it another group's material bootlegged or something? It also sounds like it's been taken off a cassette or something as it's low fidelity. Who pressed it up? I appreciate any info.
Guest Adrian Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I am pretty sure they are unissued Side Effect (Group who put out stuff on fantasy) tracks I got one, same the qualiy is'nt great
boba Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 thanks a lot for the info. I actually had heard that it was supposed to be side effect, but I would like more details / info. Side Effect didn't start recording until 1975 and the true effect EP has a (P) 1973 mark on it. If so, are they demos? was the group actually called True Effect? Who got ahold of these recordings and put them out? Or is the connection just speculation due to the "effect" thing being in common. Thanks a lot.
Tank Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The track 'Do You Believe' was on the previously unissued Side Effect 'Effective' LP put out by Soul Brother a few years ago and recorded in 1973. I don't know what the other tracks on the EP are or whether they're also on that album?
