John Reed Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Mines Lena Zavaroni - Ma He's Making Eyes At Me on Stax. It was shortly after purchasing this, that I decided that I no longer wanted to be a label completest and concentrated on records I liked rather than completing label runs, not that there's anything wrong with complete sets. The smaller label sets I've got look rather spiffing.
Guest Marky Tee Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Yellow by Coldplay........come to mention it EVERYTHING by Coldplay.

Mick Sway Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Is that for real, zaveroni on Stax? Yep. it's a well known aberration: Quote from Wikipedia : Signed to the soul-oriented Stax Records label in the United States, Zavaroni did not make much of a chart impact Stateside despite the praise and television appearances, as her Ma album failed to chart and its title single made it only to #91 on the Billboard Hot 100 Mick
John Reed Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Yep, it does deserve to be put in the trash, but don't have the heart to do it. Never played it and never will. Looks M- though anyones for £50.......
Tony Smith Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Nice to see yer.......nice! Bruce Forsyth (yes, the same) "Deep Down Inside" on Blue Cat takes some beating sitting next to Sidney Barnes and Linda Jones
