Padiham Pete Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Anyone got any ideas how to rectify a warped record. All ideas wecolmed
Only Dreaming Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Pete, I'm sure many will dissagree, but take my advice and just shove the f####r to the back of your collection and forget about it, thereby saving yourself a lot of agro and wasted time! Best, Dave
Dazdakin Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Styrene or Vinyl.......i'm guessing at vinyl, PM me and depending on it's value (to you) i will sort it for you.........but it's never risk free.
Padiham Pete Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Thanks Daz Dave, unsure about puttin it to the back of my collection just yet, took it to work this morning and put under consolidation, which means under vacuum ( 29 psi with a little heat just warm ) should have used a little more heat i think. But it as made it look a little bit better so i`m on the right track. By the way the track is Jr Walker good rockin` on the Harvey label nice tune. Like i`ve said cheers too both of you for your replies Edited September 28, 2011 by Padiham Pete

Daz Mc Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 John Manship straightend a mate of mine's record , i thought it was brand new when he'd finished , it was like a soup bowl to start with. Super duper job.
Guest soulboy1965 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Anyone got any ideas how to rectify a warped record. All ideas wecolmed Hey mate - what worked for me was placing the record between two heavy pieces of glass and then suspending it above my hot-air floor vent! 30 mins later - not even a hint of a wobble ;) I've heard of others doing it with the double panes of glass, but then placing it on the parcel shelf of their car in full sunlight. Good luck.
Steveh73 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You could buy one of these - dunno if it works though https://www.vinylflat.com/
Pete S Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You could buy one of these - dunno if it works though https://www.vinylflat.com/ Looks promising though doesn't it! Might have an invest myself.
