I am in the process of compiling a CD collection of all the tracks named in Kev Roberts' top 500 book including the Post Millenium, Bubbling Under & the Top Tens over the years. To complete the project I need to source the following tracks. I've been offered bootlegs, but that defeats the object doesn't it

Anyway here's the track's I'm looking for, any help would be greatfully received

The Volcanos (It's Against) The Laws of Love

The Fantastic Johnny C Don't Depend On Me

Al Kent You Got To pay The Price

Lollipops Loving Good Feelings

The Sons Of Moses Soul Symphony

Phil Coulter A Good Thing Going

Roger Collins You Sexy Sugar Plum

Delegates Of Soul I'll Come Running Back

Keni Lewis Not The Marrying Kind

Dalton Boys I've Been Cheated

Debbie Dean Why Am I Lovin' You

Cochise Paul Humphrey

Give Up Girl Connie Questall

Why Did You Put It To Me Baby Short People

Say Girl Lonnie Russ

No Second Chance Deadbeats

I Can't Let You Go Johnny Summers

Looky Looky Brothers Grimm

If This Ain't Love Johnny Bartel

Yum Yum Tree Bobby Bland

The Lively One Brooks O'Dell

Something's Bothering You Dalton Boys

I Go Out Of My Mind Chris Bartley

Think It Over Liz Verdi

These Memories Aleta Lattimore

World Of Happiness Unissued Harthon

Poor side Of Town Richard Street

Thanks in advance

You lot are so cynical.

I think all this poor person wants is to buy all of the CDs (proper issued CDs) that would give him a collection that included all the tracks in the Top 500, without having people burn CDs (which he considers, probably correctly, bootlegs) for him of tracks which he hasn't got.

Don't think you can though, can you? Keni Lewis isn't on CD is it? The World of Happiness thing is on Goldmine's first Philadelphia compilation I think. Don't think I've got any of the others on CD.

If I am wrong then I will apoligise unresveredly

I Personly don't see the point In collecting the top 500 Northern tracks on differant legit CDs that defeats the object doesn't it, the object being Vinyl.

If this peron wants these tracks for there own personal use I will gladly send them, them. But not for there own profit

CDs To me are worthless & Soul less but a dam usefull tool for hearing new sound and shareing you own musical taste with others

 Over

Lollipops Loving Good Feelings

This may be on Way With The Girls

The Lively One Brooks O'Dell

This is on one of the Soul Time's

Think It Over Liz Verdi

Also on a Soul Time

Things like I Go Out Of My Mind, never on official cd. I can send you that.

By the way, anyone who gets stuck trying to find official release cd's because they or deleted whatever, I would happily sell you my original(s) as I've got everything on mp3 now so pointless keeping the cd's.

 100% agree, vinyl is king, CDs are piss poor but useful. I may get an MP3 player on the weekend though, welcome to the dark side!

Thanks to all for your input.

In respones to some of your postings: -

Yes I am a bit cheeky but if you don't ask you'll never get any help

The object of collecting on Cd as opposed to vinyl is the same as collecting anything specific i.e. to complete a collection & the reason for collecting CD's is that it adds a little more difficulty to the task set. Let's face it, all you need to collect the tracks on vinyl is a large bank account. Whereas collecting on CD gives me the pleasure of rooting through the racks in my favourite haunts

As for the CD vs vinyl debate, I've never been an elitist. I'm a dancer 1st & a collector second

I may take some of you up on your offers in the near future, but til then thanks for your help
