Jerv is an old friend from way back. I will try to find out more info. Comet Gain are very mod/60s influenced. It may have been them that did a song about the Holloway Road, to the tune of 'Out on the floor' Airport Girl are another 60s influenced band. Butterflies are IMO the tallest band on the planet. They are an American group. Live they sound not unlike the Stooges (without an Iggy character). All these regularly play gigs together, supporting each other. I'm surprised Sportique arent included on the EP. Their members are often at Soul nights in the Capital. If anyone is interested I will find out if they are doing a tour. They are not soul bands, they are definetly guitar influnced rock bands. All three are excellent. Oh yeah, Cathy from Comet Gain presents Scrapheap Challenge with Cryton from red Dwarf. I think she was in Kenicke before that, but could be wrong. Edited November 4, 2005 by in town Mikey Link to comment Social source share
Guest in town Mikey
I should have spotted the label on the original post first update from Cath, my former flattie in Highbury: Hey there Mike - Fortuna pop is sean price's label - surly sean - you have met him I'm sure - another jerv character. Obviously you see comet gain did a cover? I sang backing vocals on it! Still available to buy - just check out fortuna pop! website for details but I'll see if Woodie has any spares hanging around here in which case I'll happily post one to you... I'll see what I can find out re: more info ... Edited November 4, 2005 by in town Mikey Link to comment Social source share

I think Comet Gain only do the occasional gig. I saw Cathy at Woody from Comet Gain's wedding last December and I think she was living in L.A.
