Amsterdam Russ Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Can anyone help in identifying this instrumental track? Possibly it's the backing track to something, but if so, what? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2eK66HtxZw
Ady Croasdell Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Sounds like some of the Flomar demos, defo NYC quite possibly not a soul track. That piano hook sounds like I've heard it. Interesting, I'll ask my co-workers.
Pete S Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Something the Everley Brothers did, :D Actually you are spot on there, it's the riff from The Everly Brothers song Walk Right Back.
Tony A Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Actually you are spot on there, it's the riff from The Everly Brothers song Walk Right Back. Thought it reminded me of something they did.

Amsterdam Russ Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Happy to - I'll add an image to the file and whack it up to YouTube...
Amsterdam Russ Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Here you go. It's a rather plodding tune. I've always imagined it to have an association with Eeyore or perhaps Don Quixote's donkey... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sonSotqI-I 1
Ady Croasdell Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 The guitarist sounds familiar, no wiser though Soz
Amsterdam Russ Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Well, it's a shame that the tracks couldn't be identified. They aren't the first to remain anonymous on here and they certainly won't be the last. Maybe someone will eventually recognise one or both of the recordings and be able to put a name, face, title or label to them, especially as they're freely accessible through YouTube. I'd much rather they were 'claimed' than sit anonymously and unacknowledged in a dusty record box... Edited September 23, 2011 by Russell Gilbert
Middleman Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 When the night has come, and the moon is dark, and the moon is the only light i see"............. Bit slightly faster Nice though
Robbk Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It sounds very "girls groupy" to me-NOT Everly Bros. (overall). But NOT Scepter-Wand, and DEFINITELY not Bachrach-David. It does sounds like NY arranger and session players.
