Why aren't there so many alldayers then? I've been to a few myself and I really love them as you still get to go to bed instead of unnaturally staying (or in my case trying) awake.

Is there really no call for alldayers at this time then?

Love em we have a few up here in Cleethorpes may be 1 or 2 a year not enough. defo a need for more of them would of thought theyed be easyer to arrange then a Nighter Sayurday would be a good day for them you could finish off with a nighter then

So is there a good customer base for staging all day events as opposed to all night ones?

Well thrers 4 of us poted on hear all up for them so thats a start

You get good numbers at yours then miff? Don't worry, I'm not looking at staging anything... if I attend one though I would like it to be busy

Can only speak from a north west point of view but alldayers are a total waste of time in this area,ran a few in manchester 50 to 60 people compared to niters that are packed out.Strange realy as the dayers at the ritz,bell vue etc in the 70s were packed that said my own preference is niters,even the best alldayers are,nt a patch on a good niter imho.

Strange though as you would get the same music and people - just a different time of day

There are usally quiet to start with maybe 100 on a good day 30 or 40 on a bad one then it starts filling up from 5 o'clock onwards may be 200 300 max quite good IMO

I agree Andy, not a great fan of dayers myself, not quite normal LOL

From a travelling point of view (although do realise I'm probably in a non-driving, miles from anywhere minority), alldayers tend to mean getting up ridiculously early and having to find somewhere to stay afterwards - nighters are a lot easier from that point of view. Think night time events are generally easier for people to get to and interfere less with that 'normal life' thing that some people have

I love alldayers but as already mentioned not too many about. Me and the wife have been to the two venues mentioned, Rugby and Cleethorpes and they are brilliant although there is definately a different atmosphere to that of a niter but thats not a negative, just different, and, obviously it costs less to keep awake for the duration.

Generally speaking you're quite right Andy ,although Blackpool is a little different with a tradition of all -dayers . I think folk tend to take advantage of cheap accomodation and make a weakend of it ,

Bloody Ell, forgot that i've been to Blackpool aswell , at the winter gardens a couple of years back, WOW, what a venue, but we didn't stay over although a nice idea for the future.

We seem to get higher numbers in to our alldayer but that could be because there's a free CD to first 100 in....Also, to get them in earlier, it's cheaper before 4pm.

And if that naughty Spanner comes, I shall be checking his pockets....

I love alldayers. The only problem seems to be that they don't get going until 8pm when lots of people turn up, which then turns into a soul night. The afternoon sessions at weekenders can sometimes be the best bit when they're rocking but then they shut down at 6pm.

I mentioned to someone that the Bisley venue would be ideal for an alldayer, but apparently its very popular for wedding receptions. grr.

Can't say i'm too fussed either way, dayers are great if people make the effort to get there early otherwise as said before they turn into a soul night. Dayers are good for popping out and getting fish and chips, especially at the seaside dayers.......

There's an all dayer this Sunday 6th November in Kettering, the venue being The Central, which was the former venue of the Central Hall, which used to hold regular Dayers in the 70s, Dean Parrish is apearing, forgive me if this has already been posted, but at mo, with a new job, i am flitting on as and when i can!!
